CAfe & Bar staff

The Akakura Café has a reputation for producing the best coffee in town and by day offers breakfast, lunch, and health conscious options. By night, it operates as a Wine & Scotch bar with a signature cocktail menu.

Have a variety of experience in café, bar and the hospitality industry and are willing to work in crossover roles within our hotel, cafe and bar.
Are highly motivated, have an eye for detail, display pride in their work and have meticulous cleaning habits.

Chef
The Akakura Café is looking for a seasoned chef to run and operate the kitchen. The café has a reputation for producing the best coffee in town and offers high quality breakfast, lunch, healthy alternatives and health conscious options.
We are looking for someone who:
Is highly motivated, experienced with a passion for healthy, nutritious food.
Is committed to exceptional quality and food presentation
Has knowledge of common food allergies and appropriate alternatives
Takes pride in their work, pays attention to detail and has exceptional cleaning habits.
Is creative, hardworking, and able to contribute new ideas and knowledge.
Has a positive work attitude, is well groomed and professional

Kitchen hand
The Akakura Café is looking for experienced kitchen hands to support the chef with the operation of the café kitchen, food preparation, and cleaning. The café has a reputation for producing the best coffee in town and offers high quality breakfast, lunch, and healthy alternatives.
We are looking for energetic, creative people with an interest in cooking and food, to work in a lively and interesting kitchen environment.

Housekeeping
The Address Akakura is a 4-star hotel with 12 hotel apartment style rooms, café, restaurant and onsite onsens. We are committed to providing high quality, unique accommodation and facilities to our guests with a dedication to exceptional hospitality and service.
We are looking for people who:
Are willing to work in crossover roles within our hotel, cafe and bar.
Are able to work efficiently with a high level of attention to detail.
Take pride in their work and have meticulous cleaning habits.
Are well groomed and professional.
Work well on their own and especially in a team environment.
Driver
The Address Akakura is looking for qualified and experienced hotel drivers who will assist with the transportation of guests to and from the local train station, ski resorts and supermarkets. The role also includes many day to day duties associated with hotel operations and maintenance.
We are looking for people who:
Have a highly professional attitude, are hardworking and reliable.
Are well presented, friendly and extremely responsible.
Have experience with driving passenger vehicles in the snow and have a valid Japanese or International drivers license.
Work well on their own and in a team environment.
All applicants must
Be eligible for a Working Visa in Japan (under 30 years old)
Have experience and qualifications in the role they are applying for
Have experience in the hospitality industry
Commit to the full season late December – mid-March
Have a great work ethic, be friendly and a team player
Be someone who takes the initiative, is creative and resourceful and takes pride in their work.
Would be an advantage if:
You have Japanese language ability
You have previous experience working a ski/winter season position
Hold or can obtain an International Drivers Licence
